Stickering Great Grandpa

Great Grandpa always saves stickers that come in the mail for Norah and Emerson...as well as a fridge stocked with apples and a cupboard with Oreos!

Grandpa and Grandma's wedding photo and wedding cake topper, as well as a teenage photo of Grandma.

It takes a pretty great grandpa to come up with sticker earrings...

Friendship Celebration

Our friends hosted a Friendship Celebration in honor of MLK day - it was one of our favorite playdates!

Everyone colored a cutout of themselves, then we displayed them together.

Our hosts also had each child bring an ingedient to mix into the Friendship Snack - all of the children loved this part of the morning!

We also had storytime, reading books about all the different kinds of people in our world.

You can see how excited Emerson was about storytime...he wanted to get back to Alex's train table!

Norah's Milestone

After a month of being wiggly, Norah finally lost her first tooth! She was breathless and giddy with excitement - it was very dear. She danced around the room, saying she felt like a new person, much older. :-) Her adult tooth has already popped out, so we'll miss the gaping hole for this one, but are looking forward to that for the rest!

This is it?

After all the dire warnings about the big snow storm that was coming...this is all we ended up with. Needless to say, the kids were disappointed!

Yep, that is all the snow that visited our home!

Brrrr...time for scarves!

I found a fun website that had some great ideas for scarves - so we made them our own!

I love this genius idea - sew an oversized buttonhole to pull the scarf through, keeping it from falling off all the time. Perfect for my little guy!

Emerson really loves the secret pocket in the back - he currently has a couple of stickers from the Dr office and a Lightening McQueen stuffed in there.

I found a great new fabric line - they produce several of their prints in cotton AND flannel. Woohoo! This is so snuggly and soft, I want one for myself.

And a few felt flowers to boot.

Corvallis Traditions

It was such a beautiful, sunny day for our trip down to Corvallis! We stopped at a couple of our favorite Corvallis places - including the American Dream for lunch.

Norah's first plate
Working hard!

Emerson's first plate
And a coffee stop at the Beanery!

Welcome, Kona!

Grandpa and Gramma adopted a little shanuzer/poodle puppy they named Kona. She is a bundle of puppy activity! We really enjoyed playing with her and admiring her puppy skills. She is so spunky and silly!

It was so chilly, Grandpa's pond was frozen over.

Norah loved Kona most of all! She couldn't get enough of her - and Kona played right along.

to Hair or not to Hair

After cutting my poor baby's hair all off, all I could selfishly think of was - thank goodness we waited till after his birthday pics, and thank goodness it will be grown out by the time we have our trip to Disneyland pics...LOL
