4 months old

Emerson is 4 months old! He has grown so much this last month, both physically and mentally. He now holds himself up without much effort and loves playing in his exersaucer (thanks, Aunt Marla!). He grabs at anything that runs across his line of sight, including every part of Jones possible. Much to Jones' chagrin. :) He has also started to st himself up, which is starling to see. I think that will take a while, but it looks funny to watch him doing crunches. Emerson is delighted to see everyone and laughs frequently, especially at Ryan. He also likes to talk - caterwail?? - all the time. Unless I am looking at his face, its hard to tell the difference between his chatting and complaining! His nighttime routine is still nightmarish (for us at least) but we're hoping by the time he is 18 he'll be sleeping through the night. He's pretty darn cute!

Zoo wtih Grammie and Kodiak

We went to a field trip wtih Kodiak's school - actually, we didn't see much of Kodiak (what teenager wants to hang out with his family when his friends are there!) but we did see lots of neat animals. The elephants were only a few feet away today! Norah was so tired at teh end, she laid down on the path for a rest. :-)

Misty came into town for a week - she was attending a conference for work, wich coincidentally was held in Portland. This was also Misty's birthday, so we were thrilled!

Pi Phi Reunion...Oregon Beta Revisited

33 women, 5 pledge classes, 4 states...1 fun day in Corvallis! Many thanks to Schabahn Day for coordinating our reunion experience. We met early in the day for lunch at American Dream, then split up to revisit our fave places in Corvallis. In the evening we all met up again at Big River and reconnected. Seeing friendly faces, reminiscing of silly times, admiring each other's children - and the many pregnant bellies - the day was filled with good times. Its been more than ten years since many of us have seen each other, yet it seemed like no time had passed. What a wonderful event!!

Happy Easter!

Aha, I found it...

Heading to church with Grammie Peggy and Uncle Kodiak

Easter egg hunt and dinner with Great Grandpa and Great Grandma

After dinner cuddles!
Norah and Rochy, Grammie's new Pug puppy. He constantly cracked Norah up - it was fun to watch.

Prepping for the bunny

Our Easter egg kit came with stickers - perfect for a two year old. My mom and Kodiak joined us for the egg frenzy. A bit mussy, but a lot fun! As you can see, Norah wanted to keep her bike helmet on for the festivities... Have to test everything - even nibbling on the hard-boiled eggs. :-)

Emerson kept and eye on us!

Rite of Passage...

Today was a beautiful, sunny day - our first "shorts weather".
Beautiful blue eyes - Emerson has begun rabidly sucking on his hands, preferrably his thumbs!
Playing percussion with Grammie Peggy. Grammie gave Norah a little drum and Emerson a maraca. Apparently she doesn't want our hom to be very quiet. :-)
Today we bought Norah her first bike! Ryan recently got one and its been tops on Norah's mind. She especially loves the helmet. They put it together, then we took it out for a spin!
Pedaling is a work in progress, but receiving pushes and pulls is a lot of fun as well!
Norah looked like such a big kid today!

Phone Hog

Norah loves chatting on the phone now - its hard to get it back from her!

Easter Pics

We had an informal photo shoot at Fort Vancouver in Norah and Emerson's Easter outfits. It was such a pretty afternoon, we enjoyed it. Well, that is until we realized that I had locked us out of the car! Fortunatly Ryan drove over to let us in. :-)

We took several of the pics at the Marshall House, where Ryan and I hosted our wedding reception. Its a sentimental fave in our family - my grandparents hosted their 50th wedding anniversary here as well.
